Understanding Intensity Levels
Your diffuser does not spray all the time. It works in repeating cycles: it sprays for a short time, rests, and then sprays again. The intensity level you choose sets how long each part lasts.
The simple version
- A higher level means longer sprays and shorter rests. More fragrance fills the room, and the bottle empties faster.
- A lower level means shorter sprays and longer rests. The scent is softer, and the bottle lasts longer.
- You may see “level” or “grade” (G1, G2 and so on). They mean the same thing.
- The level changes how often and how long your diffuser sprays. It does not change how strong each spray is.
How many levels does my diffuser have?
Depending on your diffuser, you will see up to 10 or up to 20 levels in the app. The Amazer line has 4 grades (G1 to G4).
Which level should I choose?
Start at the lowest level, or level 2, and raise it a little at a time until you like the fragrance. Our diffusers are very efficient and our fragrances are highly concentrated, so we recommend staying at level 4 or below. Higher levels use fragrance faster.
An example
- At level 4, your diffuser sprays for 20 seconds, rests for 85 seconds, and repeats. It is spraying about one fifth of the time.
- At level 10, it sprays for 30 seconds, rests for 33 seconds, and repeats. It is spraying about half of the time, so it uses fragrance much faster.

Use this chart as a general guide. “Share of time spraying” is the spray time divided by the spray time plus the rest time.

Notes: times are based on a standard test oil, and fragrance use can vary with the level and the fragrance oil. Some diffusers only go up to level 10.
Tips

- Set a schedule so your diffuser pauses when you are away or asleep. This prevents wasted fragrance.
- Lower levels give all-day coverage and make a bottle last longer in most spaces.
- Higher levels work best when you want strong coverage quickly.
- Watch the first 24 hours to find the balance that suits your space.
